Overview

Vasuki Tal is a high-altitude lake (4880 m) in the Garhwal Himalayan region, it is named Vasuki Tal because it resembles Lord Shiva’s snake and people believe that Lord Vishnu took bath in this lake and it became sacred. The water is pure and fed by the Vasuki mountain.
There is no vegetation here and this lake is between two glaciers but a lot of Braham Kamal can be found here which makes it look very beautiful, Brahma Kamals are rare and can only be seen in the Himalayan region.
To reach the Vasuki Tal Gangotri glacier you have to walk through which makes this trek adventurous and full of excitement. This trek is moderately difficult but there are some difficult sections where skill is required.
Chaukhamba peaks can be seen from here and other magnificent Himalayan peaks glitter in the distance. Vasuki Tal is the base of Vasuki and Satopanth mountains
