Kyarkoti Trek - Best Trek in Harsil Uttarakhand 

Kyarkoti Trek a hidden offbeat alpine trail trek located in the Harsil Valley of Uttarkashi Uttarakhand. The beautiful trek route located about 16 kilometres from Harsil. Kyarkoti trek is a low-altitude mountain trek with an altitude of 3480m.

There is a beautiful track, the beautiful river Bugyal Ghatiya flows out there and beautiful flowers keep attracting them. Harsil is a small town that is a tourist attraction. The trail is steep from the start, but the variety of scenery is rewarding. It is not recommended for beginners as it has a difficult slope, but the turns are great for experienced hikers and climbers.

The trek takes you along the Lamkhaga Pass route that connects to Sangla Valley, Chitkul in Himachal Pradesh. Walk along alpine forests of Cedar, pine and birch and cross little streams along the way. Marvel at the emerald green waters of the Kyarkoti lake.

Stunning views of Mt Srikanand and numerous unnamed peaks will fill your heart to the brim. And that’s not all, at the end of a tiring day, dig into our lip-smacking food and tuck yourself warm in our cosy tents.

To reach the base camp of the Kyarkoti Trek, you first need to travel to Harsil, a beautiful village in Uttarakhand. The nearest railway station is Dehradun, and the closest airport is Jolly Grant Airport near Dehradun. From Dehradun, you can take a taxi or bus to Harsil. The road journey takes about 8 to 9 hours and passes through beautiful mountain roads, rivers, and forests along the Bhagirathi River.

What's Included

  1. Accommodation – On the trek, you will live in tents/guesthouses on a sharing basis.
  2. Meals – Breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. We provide simple, nutritious vegetarian food for all days of the trek
  3. Camping Fees – All trekking permits and forest camping fees are included in the price.
  4. Trekking equipment – ​​Quality tents and sleeping bags in all camps. Sleeping bags withstand temperatures down to -10 ºC.
  5. Safety equipment – ​​First aid kit, oximeter, etc. will be with the trek guide/leader and also at the camp to deal with emergencies
  6. Expert Trek Leaders – All our trek leaders have at least basic/advanced mountaineering qualifications and a first aid course.
  7. Expert Trek Support Team – The mountain staff on this trek consists of certified guides, cooks, helpers, and porters.
  8. Transfers – Transport from Dehradun to Harshil on Day 1st to Harshil to Dehradun on Day 5th  is included.

  1. Food is purchased by individuals at local canteens on the trek or while driving.
